What’s in my camera bag?
I've been very lucky to have a lot of clients who are really into photography. So of course, the conversation usually comes around to talking about cameras, lenses, flashes, and all that good stuff. So here's a list of what I'm using right now. But how do I select my camera gear? First of all, it has to be Nikon. Why? Well, you didn't hear Paul Simon sing about Canon or Pentax or Sony, did you?
"I got a Nikon camera, love to take a photograph, Mama don't take my Kodachrome away."
That's good enough for me. Really though, I think they're the best.
Nikon D90 digital slr - 12.3-megapixel DX-format CMOS imaging sensor
This body is now my back-up. I always carry 2 'cause you never know.
Nikon D80 digital slr - 10.2 MP
Back-up to my back-up. I have too many cameras.
Nikon D70s digital slr - 6.1 MP
In a closet or drawer somewhere. I have way too many cameras.

My first digital camera body and it's still going. I''ve done well over 200,000 exposures on this guy. Now I use it on kayaking trips or other hazardous duties. Quite the workhorse.
18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED-IF AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor
Oh yea, love this lens. With 18-200 mm this lens has all the coverage I need for doing weddings, portraits, most commercial applications. As close to a 'do-it-all" lens that's available.
Nikon N80 35mm slr
Film... I remember that. (I can't bring myself to get rid of it)
18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor
This one pretty much sits on my back-up camera now.
28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D AF Zoom-Nikkor
I've had this lens for years and I mainly use it for macro shots. You can almost touch something with this lens and it'll still focus... amazing.
70-300mm f/4-5.6G AF Zoom-Nikkor
Wildlife, sports, etc. Combined with the 1.5 crop factor on the D80 and you really fill the viewfinder.
Nikon Normal AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Autofocus Lens
A lightweight lens ideal for scenery or full-length portraits. Weighs just 0.34 lb, making it great for travel while still offering excellent low light gathering properties. Stops down from f/1.8 to f/22 for wonderful control of depth of field.
Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X 116 Pro DX Autofocus Lens
This is an ultra wide angle, short zoom range lens specifically designed for use with digital SLR cameras. The slightly shorter zoom range makes it possible to maintain optical quality even at wide-open apertures. This lens features a fast constant aperture of f/2.8, and provides a focal length equivalent to 16.5-24mm in 35mm format
SB-800 AF Speedlight
I love this flash. Very powerful and recycles quickly. With the D90 or D80 the exposure is right on. Also, the 5th battery really helps keep battery changes at a minimum.

20" imac w/ 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Love my Macs. I have three of them right now... another 17" imac and an ibook. Easy to use, fast, lots of storage, and that 20" monitor is great for working on photos. Nice and bright and high resolution.
Adobe Lightroom
This program is a really efficient way to import, select, develop, and showcase large volumes of digital images. And of course, being an Adobe product it works seamlessly with Photoshop.

Nikon D7000 digital slr - 16.2 MP DX-format CMOS sensor
This is my primary camera body right now. I love the color rendition, it's low light ability, and with 16 MP you can crop and still have plenty of pixels left. Six frames per second and even full HD video. Cool.
